Located on Orchard Road, it serves as a creative hub and event space, showcasing over 100 homegrown brands. DORS is committed to providing our customers with unique and high-quality pieces that reflect the latest trends and timeless style.
DORS is run by Singapore Fashion Council (SFC), the official association for the fashion industry in Singapore. Our mission at SFC is quite simple: To create A Vibrant Asian Hub For Responsible* Fashion.
Position Overview:
The Retail Associate (Fine Jewellery), is responsible for providing an exceptional shopping experience through expert product knowledge, superior customer service, and a keen sense of luxury sales etiquette. This role involved building lasting relationships with customers, showcasing the finest pieces of jewellery, and driving sales while maintaining the brand’s high standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for luxury retail, fine jewellery, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement:
- Greet and assist customers, providing personalized service to ensure a memorable shopping experience.
- Understand customers’ needs, preferences and style to recommend appropriate jewellery pieces.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients through follow-ups and personalized communication.
Product Knowledge:
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of fine jewellery collections, including gemstones, metals, designs and craftsmanship.
- Stay informed about new arrivals, special promotions and trends within the fine jewellery industry.
- Educate customers on the value, quality and care of fine jewellery.
Sales Performance:
- Meet or exceed individual and store sales targets by actively engaging customers and maximising sales opportunities.
- Upsell and cross sell complementary jewellery pieces or services.
- Proactively seek out new clientele and work to expand the store’s customer base.
Store Operations:
- Assist in maintaining the visual appearance of the store, ensuring displays are aligned with luxury standards.
- Handle transactions efficiently and accurately including processing payments and managing customer accounts.
- Participate in inventory management, including stock counts and ensuring the security of valuable items.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with team members to create a seamless customer experience.
- Share insights and feedback with store management to improve sales and service strategies.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support promotions and special events.
Customer Follow-Up and Loyalty:
- Maintain post-purchase contact with customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Build loyalty programmes or special client services to strengthen client relationships.
Ad Hoc Projects and Tasks:
- Be involved in special projects and take on ad hoc tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills in fast-paced scenarios.

Job Requirements
Pre-requisities:
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in luxury retail, preferably with fine jewellery or a related field.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and providing exceptional customer service.
- Knowledge of gemstones, precious metals and jewellery design is highly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with high-end clientele.
- Keen eye for detail, ensuring product knowledge and maintaining luxury standards.
- Familiar with point-of-sale (POS) systems and CRM tools.
- Ability to work in a professional and fast paced retail environment, displaying integrity and confidentiality.
- Passion for luxury and fine jewellery.
- Highly motivated and proactive individual with a customer-first mindset.
- Able to commit to retail hours, 5 days per week.
