Singapore Fashion Council (SFC) is a non-commercial trade Organisation that serves as the catalyst driving the industry’s continuous growth, with a focus on three key areas: Asian Craftsmanship, Sustainability, and Innovation & Technology.

With a mission to empower and inspire all brands across the fashion ecosystem, SFC works closely with diverse partners to offer readily- accessible resources, meaningful networks, sustainability-focused innovations and future-forward insights - unlocking new opportunities for impact.

SFC has many strategic initiatives and programmes that include The Bridge Fashion Innovator (TBFI), Programs and training that promote Sustainability, Capability Development, Flagship Events such as Be The Change Summit and Singapore Stories.

SFC also manages Design Orchard Retail Showcase (DORS) and The Cocoon Space (TCS):

DORS, the retail showcase located at level one of Design Orchard and situated in the centre of Orchard Road, provides a physical retail space for new and emerging designers, at the renowned shopping belt of Singapore. It has the largest collection of locally based designer brands in Singapore.

TCS, offers creative co-working and event space housed on level 2, 3 and rooftop open space of Design Orchard

Career Opportunity:

We are looking for a dynamic, creative and forward-thinking individual who has strong appetite to learn, enjoys a collaborative work environment, love design and is passionate about bringing positive change to the fashion industry with innovative ideas.

• Work closely with Marketing Manager/General Manager to define, design and implement a creative VM strategy for monthly refresh cycles
• Create appealing and eye-catching visual displays with the aim of increasing footfall
• Work closely with Designer to produce collaterals for special promotional campaigns
• Ensure and uphold brand integrity
• Work closely with brands to understand individual VM requirements, and create a seamless design language in store
• Analyse merchant reports and make visual recommendations based on data analysis
• Involve in project/ad hoc task as and when needed

Prerequisites:

• Possess at least 2 to 4 years' experience in a similar capacity
• Proven work experience as a visual merchandiser
• Passionate about visual merchandising, in the know of current design trends
• Possess creative flair, originality and a strong visual sense
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and AutoCAD
• Able to identify metrics to measure effectiveness of VM, and run analysis to provide feedback with brands in showcase
• Able to work independently and in team
• Able to work well with tight deadlines in a fast pace environment, anticipate possible obstacles and deliver viable solutions in a timely manner
• Resourceful and creative in problem solving with the can-do attitude
• Highly motivated and driven to produce results
• Experience in Fashion and/or Lifestyle industry with interest and/or knowledge in technology and sustainability a strong bonus
