Singapore Fashion Council (SFC) – formerly known as Textile and Fashion Federation (Singapore) is the official association for the textile and fashion industry in Singapore. Embracing a transformative vision, SFC aspires to become a Vibrant Asian Hub for Responsible Fashion.

SFC works in close partnership with government bodies such as Enterprise Singapore, Singapore Tourism Board, JTC, Design Singapore, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, as well as with foreign embassies and other trade associations and organisations, to place the local fashion industry at the forefront of policy and opportunity. 

SFC is a member of the Asia Fashion Federation and the ASEAN Federation of Textiles Industries.

The Retail Associate/Senior Retail Associate is a key member of our Design Orchard Retail Showcase (DORS) and the face to our customers. Knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic, you will provide a unique experience that embodies our Brand DNA. 

As this role is in a service environment, you should be someone who has strong communication and interpersonal skills with a great and welcoming personality, able to inspire, lead and develop the team to deliver a seamless customer experience to make every visit to DORS unforgettable.

Job Description 

  • Welcome and engage customers by providing an excellent in-store experience at all times 
  • Ensure high levels of customer’s satisfaction through excellent service
  • Develop client relationships through an individual approach and leveraging on the CRM and Marketing tools
  • Maintain and build customer base and loyalty
  • Maximize sales opportunity to achieve sales target and KPIs
  • Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understand forthcoming customer initiatives
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the store including cashiering and housekeeping duties of the shop floor 
  • Assist in managing inventory
  • Ensure that safety, security, and administration procedures are followed.
  • Assist with any other duties and tasks as assigned by our Store Manager

Job Requirements

  • Self-motivated and a good communicator
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal skills in dealing with customers and the team members
  • Have a positive, cheerful demeanor, and be a team player
  • Passionate about, and supportive of, local fashion brands, products, and stories
  • Enthusiastic about speaking, storytelling, and recommending said products
  • Good product knowledge of the products in the store and be clear with the on-going promotions in the store
