DORS, the retail showcase located at level one of Design Orchard and situated in the centre of Orchard Road, provides a physical retail space for new and emerging designers, at the renowned shopping belt of Singapore. It has the largest collection of locally based designer brands in Singapore.

We are looking for a Capability Development Assistant Manager / Manager to expand our networks with key talent partners and to drive the growth and pipeline of talents for Singapore.

To succeed in this role, you should be an excellent communicator, and able to identify and build rapport with key partners. We also expect you to be a strategic thinker with an analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills. Experience in event management and marketing would be a bonus.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the director of Industry Development in the development and implementation of industry development frameworks, policies, and work-plans for training and education
  • Work closely with partners including Government agencies, educational institutions, internal teams, outsourced expertise to facilitate the development of curriculum and programmes
  • Responsible to ensure curriculum/programme content relevancy, and to capture opportunities for audience pipelines
  • Work with IT and finance teams to manage and facilitate online-learning platforms
  • Assist in the hiring and managing of contract personnel
  • Coordinate with marketing team in the development of marketing contents and ensure timely roll-out of programmes
  • Organise and participate in career fairs, seminars, conferences and networking events to build community and boost brand awareness
  • Promote and manage programmes sales
  • Keep abreast of industry developments and market skills gaps to ensure continued relevancy of capability development programme.
  • Manage funding, ensure the processes, timelines and regulations are adhered to
  • Manage timelines, progress, budgets and deliverables of all the programmes.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • At least 4-6 years of relevant working experience
  • Experience in education and/or adult learning sectors
  • Experience in curriculum planning, design and implementation
  • Strong leadership and analytic skills
  • Experience in research and data management would be an advantage
  • Strong communication skill with excellent command of the English language. Candidates who are proficient in a Mother Tongue language will be considered favourably.
  • Strong analytical skills, administrative and project management
  • Independent thinker with ability to adapt to changing contexts.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal, partnership management and negotiation skills
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Meticulous, organise and a self-starter
  • Have a positive attitude and embrace challenges in a start-up environment
